About Craigslist.org

This blog is dedicated to the newsworthiness of the happenings, oddities, and otherwise interesting happenings of the community created around Craigslist.org.

The site (according to its FAQ), which receives more than 10 billion page views per month, acts as an online fraction of geographical communities serving online ads for “Jobs, housing, goods, services, romance, local activities, advice – just about anything really.”

There are “more than 90 million user postings in 100 topical forums” in “more than 500 cities in over 50 countries worldwide.” The site prides itself on it’s nearly free status, as it only charges for job postings in the Bay Area, and its ability to only have to employ 25 people as the site is community moderated.
